The CAT scan confirmed Smoky will need a Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA), which is estimated at $4-$5K. I’m hopeful we’ll meet that goal, and any amounts that exceed the cost of his surgery will be donated to the Columbia Humane Society.

When my cats are sick, it’s especially hard on me. Not only do I not have children, so my cats are it, I don’t manage this level of stress well. I’m glad it’s me, though, who has custody of Smoky because I can push through. I can do it.
