Good lord. Even if you are miserable single, why would anyone with any ounce of compassion, not to mention smarts, say this to you? End that friendship immediately! That person is TOXIC!
If it’s your mother, roll your eyes, get up from the couch, stomp loudly and belligerently across the room and down the stairs and watch cartoons with your nieces and nephews. It won’t even cross their mind you might be unhappy because they’re too filled up with thinking you’re SUPER COOL! To them, you’re the most enchanting funny fun wonderful loving adult person in their lives!
